Day 13 64 miles and Loup Loup Pass 4,020 ft

We were out of the campsite by 7:30 and on the road! The climbing started at 2 miles from our start. Seemed to be about a 4-5% grade (per our professional opinions) for the entire 12 miles to the top. At 10 am we had climbed to 4020 feet and it was mostly all down hill to Tonasket... Or so we had hoped :) for the most part it was all downhill with a sprinkling of a couple 100ft inclines! We stopped for lunch in Omak Wa, had a delicious lunch at the corner bistro, and then headed off for the remaining 26 miles to Tonasket. Man it was hot, 100F and a small warm breeze! The ice water we got at the bistro was nice, but the ice melted and the water was hot about 10 miles in... Blah! Warm water is not very refreshing when you are hot and sweaty :) we rolled into Tonasket about 10 pounds lighter (from all the sweat) and settled into the hotel for the night!
